Re: about phrasal verbs

hi, i'm not teacher just trying to help out  cuz i have  a lesson about it ,really i forgot  some of it but it jump to my mind cuz i saved it in CD

,,,,,,u can rewiew it with someone better than me in english

phrasal verb are verb which change the meaning in some way by adding particals ,, down, away, in , up, after, off, across
in other case , the phrasal verb has different meaning to the meaning of its sparate parts
EX; he's given up eating meat
means: he's stopped eating meat
I'll throw away the rabbish
there is four types of phrasal verbs
1- phrasal verb doesn't take on object
verb _ partical
EX: sit down
look out = take care
we sit off on our journey ( started)
2- phrsal verb take on object when the object is a noun, it can go after or before the partical

EX: take off your chose
or take ur chose off
but when the object is pronoun , it can only go before the partical
not after it
EX: i'll throw it away ..not i'll throw away it

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
3- phrasal verb take on object but we cannot separate the verb from the partical
verb+ partical + object

looking after baby is haed work
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

4- verb+ partical + preposition + object
EX: i'm looking forward to the weekend
you go now and i'll catch up with u later
u should dont go back on ur promises

hope u all the best in ur exam
